Founded in 1906, is a liberal arts and teachers college that is part of the public University System of Georgia. There are 5 undergraduate and 3 graduate schools. The 187 acre campus is in a small town, 38 miles north of Albany. Including residence halls, there are 35 buildings. Fraternities and sororities and over 50 clubs and organizations are also on campus. Tours of the campus are available through the admissions office.
