Search Quitman Georgia

The historic Brooks County Hospital began in 1935 when a group of Brooks County physicians and other concerned citizens decided to build a hospital in Quitman. The 35-bed hospital first opened its doors in September 1935, with 15 beds. While scores of small community hospitals across the United States have had to shut down in the face of tumultuous economic times, Quitman's facility breathed new life in 1987 when the Hospital Authority of Brooks County Hospital leased the facility to John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Brooks County Hospital has, for many years, been developing a seamless healthcare delivery system that provides the people of south Georgia and north Florida with a continuum of care.

Brooks County Hospital maintains full accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
