Coffee Regional Medical Center, Inc. operates a non-profit, acute care hospital in Douglas, GA. The new facility which opened in 1998 replaced the original facility constructed in Coffee Co. in 1953. The 170,000 square foot facility is designed with 88 inpatient beds and expanded outpatient service areas to promote multi-level patient care. The Medical Staff membership includes orthopedics, pediatrics, ENT family practice care, ophthalmology, oncology, dermatology, general surgery, OB/GYN, internal medicine, GI, emergency medicine, podiatry, cardiology, urology, nephrology, pulmonology, anesthesiology, radiology and pathology.
The Medical Center, has had continuous accreditation by Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) since 1955. The Medical Center is also licensed by the GA. Dept. Of Human Resources, certified for participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
