Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia, Georgia was established in 1963 on 22 acres of land donated by the son of Dr. John M. Meadows, the first physician in Toombs County. Since then, Meadows Regional Medical Center has changed with the times. With new facilities, the expansion of their medical community and additions to services they provide, Meadows Regional is a pioneer among not-for-profit community hospitals. Some of our medical services include: Critical Care, Maternity Care and pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology and General and Orthopaedic Surgery. Cardiac Catheterization services were added recently. Meadows Regional Medical Center consists of 87 acute care beds and 35 skilled nursing beds and is JCAHO accredited.
