There are many public tennis court locations throughout Hawaii, some lighted. The number of courts at each location varies. They are under the jurisdiction of the Dept of Parks & Recreation in Hilo, the county seat.

In Hilo, at Ainaole Park, H akalau Park, Hilo High School, Hoolulu Park, Lincoln Park, Mohouli Park and at University of Hawaii-Hilo College. At Honokaa Park, at Kamehameha Park in Kau District, and at Keaau Park.

In Kona Coast, there are courts at Greenwell Park, Kailua Kona Park, Old Kona Airport, Kailua Playground and at Keauhou Park. There are public courts in Waimea-Kamuela at Waimea Park and Hawaii Prep Academy.

Festivities start on Easter Sunday and culminate with the Hula competition events at the Edith Kanaka'ole Tennis Stadium - Miss Aloha Hula on Thursday, Hula Kahiko on Friday, and Hula 'Auana on Saturday.
