This is Hawaii's major airport and gateway to the islands on Oahu Island. It is a 20 minute drive from Waikiki and has one inter-island terminal, which serve both Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. Flights on Hawaiian to both mainland destinations and to Tahiti and American Samoa depart from it. A free Wiki Wiki Shuttle takes passengers to and from the terminal.
American carriers include Hawaiian, TWA, Delta, Continental, American, Northwest and United. Flying time from the West Coast is 4.5 to 5 hours.
A large number of foreign carriers also bring visitors from all over the world, but may not fly from American cities on the mainland. Hertz has a desk at this location.
