The USS Bowfin is a WWII era submarine that is moored in a military park adjacent to the USS Arizona Memorial
in Pearl Harbor
. The Bowfin sank 44 ships in the Pacific during WWII. There is no charge to enter the park, but self-guided tours are charged.
A museum depicts submarine development up to nuclear powered subs. Other highlights include a periscope and conning tower, a one-man Japanese suicide sub and a memorial to the 52 US submarines lost in WWII. It is open daily 8am to 5pm.
There is an admission charge for self-guided tours with wireless headsets and sound effects. Children under four are not permitted on the USS Bowfin.
