Located on the banks of the Wailua River, the only real navigable river in Hawaii. Located off Kuhio Hwy (Rt 56), it contains six recreation sections, a place of refuge, a heiau complex and natural features ranging from beach to mountain.

It is open all day every day. Call for info. Donations are accepted.

A footnote of history is that a Union vessel hid from the Confederate ship "Shenandoah" during the Civil War in the Wailua River. The "Shenandoah" had been sent to destroy the northern Pacific whaling fleet.
