Ewalu is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, owned and operated by 193 churches in eastern Iowa. All kinds of events are planned at camp Ewalu including Jr. High dirty feet retreats, an elementary retreat, the Ewalu winterfest snow day, adult enrichment days, family events, and the fall quilt auction.

Warm weather fun includes family bunk-ins in cabins or pitched tents in the campground. Activities include swimming, hiking, and fishing.
