Bonners Ferry

The seat of Boundary County, Bonners Ferry is located 25 miles south of the border with Canada on US 95. The permanent settlement of Bonners Ferry dates back to 1864, when E.L. Bonner started a ferry service across the Kootenai River here.

Bonners Ferry has a resource-centered economy based on timber and agriculture.

The town is 35 miles north of Sandpoint.
