Camas National Wildlife Refuge is located in southeast Idaho about 36 miles north of Idaho Falls near the small town of Hamer. The refuge was established in 1937 and is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of the Interior. The refuge is a part of the National Wildlife Refuge System and is an important link in the chain of refuges along the Pacific Flyway. The refuge, with more than 10,000 acres, contains a great deal of valuable wildlife habitat. The marshlands attract a variety of waterfowl.
