Ride horses on the meadows, around the lakes, beside the streams and in the mountains of one of the largest working cattle ranches in the Intermountain West.

The Halo Ranch has 45 head of horses to choose from. There are horses for whatever your ability, including no experience!

Located in Eastern Idaho, only 20 miles from the top of the Continental Divide.

We are open as soon as the snow melts in the spring & until the trails are covered with snow in the fall. (usually late October)

RIDES AVAILABLE all rides are destination type rides. There are trails that take between 2 hours and 1/2 day. All ride times differ, depending on how much wildlife guests are photographing and how fast a pace the group chooses to travel. Wagon rides are availabe and in the summer, Dutch Oven Supper Rides are available!

Annual Port-Neuf Muzzleloaders Mountain Man Rendezvous Pocatello ID May31-June2 Enjoy the black powder rifle and pistol shoots, the trailwalks, our knife and hawks throws, the cannons, and the primitive archery shoot. The music at the campfire at the end of the day. Visit the traders of the 1840’s. They are all in canvas of the period as are the Mountain Men and Women of the Primitive Camps. See how they lived and worked daily.
Intermountain Equifest Pocatello ID June20-23 We will have trail riding competition, extreme cowboy race, posse drill presentation, grand entry, horse show, barrel racing, pole bending, bucket races, flag races, and kids games. Horseback and on foot.
Eastern Idaho State Fair Blackfoot ID August31-September7 The Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot begins Labor Day and features horse racing, demolition derby, rodeo, and top name stars along with the excitement of the midway rides and wide range of food booths.

The fair has all the traditional elements of an agricultural fair, including exhibits and 4-H competition.


Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival Jackson Hole WY September5-12 The Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival is widely recognized as one of the premier cultural events in the Rocky Mountain West.
Portneuf Greenway Foundation RiverFest Pocatello ID August17-September17 This is a one day festival which features local and regional bands. This year's headliner band is The Clumsy Lovers. We also have craft booths, commercial booths and lots of great food. There will be a horseshoe tournament as well as our famous raffle. In previous years we have given away camp trailers, boats and cars.
Fire and Ice Winter Fest Lava Hot Springs ID February7-9 Break out of the winter blues with a great weekend get-away in Idaho's Hot Spot - Lava Hot Springs. Start off the weekend with wine tasting, comedy night and Kareoke. Continue on through the weekend with a Polar Bear Float down the Portneuf River, Disc Golf Tournament, Chili cook-off, games for the kids at the Indoor Aquatic Center, Texas Hold-em and 21 tournament along with the "Running of the Bulls" down Main Street on Sunday morning and MORE.
