Carlyle Lake, located in southwestern Illinois primarily in Clinton County and is less than an hour's drive east of the Gateway Arch in St Louis on U.S. Highway 50, provides over 26,000 acres of lake related activities. You can camp, fish, hunt, hike, sail, boat and play in the sand on the lake's beautiful swimming beaches.

Carlyle Lake is the premiere sailing lake in the midwest. More than 1,000 sailing slips or dry parking pads provide a home for crafts of all descriptions.
