Cave-in-Rock State Park

The geological feature for which Cave-in-Rock State Park is named is a 55-foot-wide cavern overlooking the Ohio River in Hardin County along the state's southern border. From 1797 to the mid-1830s, the roost served as a headquarters for outlaws who robbed and killed many unsuspecting river travelers.
