Harold Washington Library Center

Named in honor of the former mayor of Chicago, the Harold Washington Library Center is the world's largest public library with more than 2 million books. It celebrated its 125th anniversary in 1998. Tours are available daily. The Winter Garden and a state-of-the-art auditorium add to its wide range of services.
