Established in 1927, Parks is the country's oldest certified institution of aviation. They were the first federally approved school of aeronautics and holds FAA Certificate #1.
The academic scope drastically changed after the College was given to SLU in 1946. From being primarily a pilot training school, Parks' new affiliation allowed them to add a broadened curricula including Aircraft Maintenance Management, Avionics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.
