Ridges left by glacial movement, now dotted with scattered groves of hardwood trees, serve as the backdrop for Moriane View State Park. It offers year-round recreational opportunities from its location east of Bloomington-Normal and near Le Roy. Kickapoo and Potawatomi tribes lived here when European settlers first came to the area.
