Nickol Knoll is a public 9-hole, par 3 course, 1,150-yard course located in northeastern Illinois in Cook County.
This unusual course, built on 56 acres features a variety of challenges including elevated tees and elevated greens. Undulating greens make for an intriguing round.
The late, great Walter Payton used to train on these grounds prior to its construction in 1993. The course is named for the original owner of the property, John G. Nickol who first gained control in 1878.
Open April 1 through November 1.
