Peabody River King SFWA

Dominated by lakes and ponds, Peabody River King State Fish and Wildlife Area is a former coal-mining site, located in southeastern St. Clair County about 3 miles east of New Athens and about 10 miles north of the Kaskaskia River SFWA. Its 2,330 acres feature more than 20 fishing lakes and a waterfowl refuge.
