St. Joseph's Hospital in Huntingburg, licensed for 87 beds, serves the people of Dubois and surrounding counties in southwest Indiana. The staff of over 300 employees provides a comprehensive range of medical services including emergency care, diagnostic services, intensive care, maternity care, physical rehabilitation, medical and surgical services, occupational medicine, and home health and hospice care.
Thirty-five physicians take an active role in the care of their patients. These include specialists in primary care such as family practice, internal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology, as well as specialists in orthopedic and general surgery, urology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), and psychiatry. In addition, there are numerous specialists with clinics on the hospital campus including cardiology, ear/nose/throat, neurology, podiatry, gastroenterology, neuropsychology, and allergy & sinus.
