Shakamak State Park offers three man-made lakes containing 400 acres of water for fishing and boating while a new family aquatic center provides swimming opportunities. About two-thirds of the campsites are in a wooded area, offering cool shade in the summer and fall colors late in the year. People of all angling abilities can enjoy the large fishing pier available to guests.
