Located in the Officers quarters of a former military complex built in 1808. The museum houses a wide variety of local and national artefacts, chief among them the pre-1800 guild banners - the only extant in Ireland. The visually distinct trade banners painted in the 1850's represent the Fishermen, Brick and Stone masons, Bakers and Labourers of Drogheda. Restored Martello Tower gives magnificent views over the Boyne Valley and Estuary, and houses an exhibition including Fenian guns and also depicts the history of Drogheda.
