County Wicklow

Wicklow is a maritime county of southeastern Ireland in Leinster Province Province, bordered on the east by St George's Channel, on the north by County Dublin, on the west by County Kildare and County Carlow, and on the south by County Wexford. Its area is 781 square miles.

The center of the county is traversed north-south by the Wicklow Mountains, the highest points being Lugnaquilla (3041 feet) and Kippure (2473 feet). The Slaney rises in the west and flows south into Carlow. The ovoca rises in the north central part and enters the sea at Arklow.

The capital and chief port is Wicklow.
