Located at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport, the museum's 12,000-square-foot display area features military uniforms, model airplanes, and interpretive displays about the history of aviation in addition to a variety of aircraft including a Bell 206B observer helicopter, an A-4F Skyhawk II used by the Navy's Blue Angels and a 1908 Quadraplane replica, the first powered aircraft to fly over Kentucky.
Also on the museum site is a fully equipped shop for aviation restoration projects and a library/archive. Open Thursday through Sunday, and Tuesday; closed holidays.
