Located on Trevilian Way, mammal and bird exhibits are arranged by geographic region. The zoo also features one of the largest arachnid exhibits in the nation. The Islands Pavillion is home to orangutans, Sumatran tigers, tapirs and siamangs, while the BOMA Petting Zoo allows visitors interaction with African farm animals.

The MetaZoo Education Center provides anphibian exhibits and microscopes through which smaller creatures can be viewed. Picnicking is permitted.

Open daily 10am-5pm in April through August; hours vary the rest of the year.
