King's Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) is a locally controlled, not-for-profit, 366-bed regional referral center, offering comprehensive cardiac, medical, surgical, pediatric, rehabilitative, psychiatric, cancer, neurological, pain care, wound care and home care services. King's Daughters recently opened the $36 million Center for Advanced Care, offering state-of-the-art diagnostics and technology. Established in 1899, KDMC currently ranks seventh in the state of Kentucky in terms of admissions, and, with approximately 2,100 employees, is the largest employer west of Charleston and east of Lexington. King's Daughters has been named of America's top employers, and was a recipient of the 2002 Commonwealth of Kentucky Quality Award.
