Farmerville is located in Union Parish (of which it is the parish seat) within the Sportsman's Paradise Region northeast of Ruston, between Homer and Bastrop along Highway 2 near Bernice, Sterlington, and Bayou D'Arbonne Lake. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,382, an increase of 48 since 1990.
