Louisiana State Cotton Museum

The Louisiana State Cotton Museum opened to preserve the history and heritage of cotton cultivation and its influence on life in Louisiana. The museum consists of several structures on the banks of Lake Providence. An 1840's farmhouse, a new facility to showcase exhibits, a 1920 Gullet Cotton Gin, and a sharecropper's cabin.
