The mission of Huey P. Long Medical Center is to provide acute general medical, surgical, and psychiatric care to uninsured, Medicare and/or Medicaid covered patients, and self-paying individuals of the nine parish service area within generally accepted quality standards of health care delivery in the community, and at a reasonable cost. A secondary mission is to provide for the medical education of physicians and allied health manpower of the state.
