The Boston Institute for Psychotherapy, Inc. (BIP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to professional training, mental health treatment, and public education. It was founded in 1970 for the purpose of providing postgraduate professional education. Since 1976, the Institute has trained qualified clinicians through its Clinical Fellow Program. This purpose was later expanded to the sponsorship of continuing education programs for clinicians, educational programs for the public, and research on the processes and outcomes of psychotherapy. BIP now also offers a high quality freestanding fully licensed mental health clinic, which has been providing innovative service programs supporting individuals and families.
