In 1993 Goddard Memorial Hospital and Cardinal Cushing Medical Center combined to become Good Samaritan Medical Center. In 1999, Good Samaritan became a member of the Caritas Christi Health Care System, becoming Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. It is is a full service, acute care, Catholic hospital licensed for 212 beds, 17 bassinets, and 10 Special Care bassinets.
