Bournewood Hospital is a full-service, independent psychiatric hospital licensed for 90 beds, which has been in continuous operation as a psychiatric hospital on twelve acres in South Brookline since 1895. It serves patients of all ages, all ethnic and socio-economic groups, all diagnostic categories, and has contracts with most insurances and managed care companies.
In addition to service as clinical resource for Boston University medical students, Boston University psychiatric residents, and Harvard Longwood psychiatric residents, Bournewood is also a training site for the Tufts post-doctoral Ph.D. neuropsychology fellow, and Psy.D. psychology interns from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
