This was the summer estate of Mr. and Mrs. Ellery Sedgwick, who built the home in 1921 and modeled it after a Charleston home of the early 1800s. It is now owned and operated by The Trustees of Reservations.

The surrounding fields, woods, wetlands and formal gardens have more than 1,500 varieties of trees, shrubbery and flowers, many labeled. Nature trails traverse the grounds. A tour of the house and garden is offered by apppointment.

Grounds open daily 8am-dusk.
