School of the Museum of Fine Arts is a division of the Museum of Fine Arts and an affiliate with Tufts University since 1945. The Museum School presents a diverse curriculum with a full range of studio and academic resources. It also offers selective cross-registration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a dual-degree program with Wheaton College. A wealth of resources is available. The campus is within walking distance of fifteen other colleges, major art museums, the Huntington Theatre, and Boston Symphony Hall. Convenient public transportation links the Museum School with the rest of Boston and neighboring communities.
With a faculty of 140+ full-time and part-time practicing artists of national and international repute, plus about 20 special visiting artists, the 600+ full-time day students and almost 500 student participants in evening and weekend programs enjoy a 10:1 student-faculty ratio.
