Wellfleet

Wellfleet is located in Barnstable County 17 miles SE of Provincetown between Truro and S Wellfleet. An early whaling center, Wellfleet was the leading oyster producing port in New England. A town clock in the Congregational Church still strikes ship's time. The town, situated along the scenic Cape Cod segment of US 6, is a popular, yet quiet summer retreat.
