This beautiful 80-foot stone arch bridge was constructed 1813-14 as part of the old National Road linking Cumberland, Maryland with the Ohio River. Crossing the Casselman River just east of Grantsville, it was the largest of its kind in the United States.

Partially restored by the State of Maryland in the 1950s, the historic structure is now the showpiece of Casselman River Bridge State Park.
