Blue Hill Memorial Hospital's main campus serves as the anchor of their community-oriented, patient-centered primary healthcare network. New England's first federally designated "Critical Access Hospital" specializes in providing diagnostic, rehabilitative and acute care services in concert with an active medical staff of 24 board-certified physicians. Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH) has an award-winning primary ealthcare system and a state of the art facility. In 2000, BHMH completed its first major construction and renovation project in more than 20 years. It included a new Ambulatory Surgery Department, a new Emergency Department, Lobby and Pharmacy. In addition, Maternity and Radiology and the Intensive Care Unit were completely renovated.
