Located in an area famous for trout and landlocked salmon fishing, the park offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the state in this region of mountains and lakes. Visitors will find well-spaced campsites among the fragrant spruce and fir trees, hot showers, and a concrete boat launching ramp with floats. A major snowmobile trail is maintained into the park by the town of Rangeley and connects to local trails as well as to ITS 89.

Rangeley Lake State Park can be reached from Rumford via Maine Route 17 or from Farmington via Maine Route 4.
