Search Benzonia Michigan

Benzonia is in Benzie County, and in the Northern Region. Benzonia is located southwest of Traverse City between Traverse City and Onekama along US Highway 31 on the banks of the Benzie River near Crystal Lake and Lake Michigan.

Home of the Benzie County "Welcome Station". Just like its neighboring town, Beulah, Benzonia has great swimming beaches and several small shops to visit. Benzonia is also famous as the birthplace of Bruce Catton. This great man was both a Michigan and Civil War historian. A historical plaque about him stands in front of the library.
