The Clinch Park Zoo, exhibitor of northern Michigan wildlife, was established in 1932. The zoo occupies approximately 3.5 acres on the banks of sparkling Grand Traverse Bay in downtown Traverse City. Surrounded by Clinch Park Marina and Beach, the Traverse City Open Space Project, and Con Foster Museum - its a picturesque setting in the heartland of one of the mid-west's finest resort areas. The Spirit of Traverse City, otherwise known as Locomotive 400 can be found at Clinch Park Zoo.
