Jesse Besser Museum

Located on Johnson Street, this is a regional center for art, history and the natural sciences. The museum contains galleries devoted to changing art exhibits, the Gallery of Early Man, a lumber and agricultural room and Besser Room. A planetarium also is featured. Period shops line a re-created 1890s street. Restored 19th century historic buildings on the museum grounds include Green School, Maltz Exchange Bank, McKay Cabin and Spratt Church.

Open Monday through Friday 10am-5pm, weekends noon-5pm; closed major holidays.
