Moorestown is in Missaukee County, and in the Northern Region. This community is located on E. Moorestown Rd. and situated north west of Houghton.
This remote township is one of the few remaining double-sized townships in Michigan, spanning 6 X 12 square miles. The eastern half is found in the Missaukee State Forest and contains several streams and creeks that form the Dead Stream Swamp. Oil also has been found here, with many well dotting the landscape. The small community of Moorestown has an airport and is known to be a popular place in the summer months for fly-ins if you have a small aircraft.
