Anoka-Ramsey Community College, with campuses in Coon Rapids and Cambridge, has been a leading provider of higher education and training in the north suburban Minneapolis/St. Paul area since 1965. Annually, the college serves over 8,000 students in pursuit of associate degrees that transfer as the first two years of a bachelor's degree, and certificate programs leading to immediate careers. The college also provides professional development and continuing education programs for working adults, with over 7,000 students enrolling in these courses annually. The Cambridge Campus presents a host of events each year for students and members of the community, ranging from college performances (featuring student artists and local performers) to community events and workshops for personal enrichment; most of these presentations are open to the public for free or a small charge.
