Known as the Mallard Capital of Minnesota, Badger is located on Hwy 11 near the Canadian border. Wild game and bird hunting and snowmobiling are just some of the recreational activities in this area. In Roseau County, it is in the Lakes of the Northern Lights Region Region.
The Lake of the Woods is less than an hour away. Also close by are Twin Lakes Wildlife Area, Thief Lake Wildlife Area, and Agassiz National Wildlife Refuge.
