Camp near the clear, blue waters of 15,000-acre Birch Lake in the peaceful northern pine woods of Minnesota; the 21-mile-long lake is known as one of the best walleye lakes in the state, where bass, crappie, and perch compete for bait privileges as well. Those who don't fish can't help enjoying the beauty of this area from a tranquil boat or canoe, and the clear water is perfect for swimming. Hike or bike through the pines along a paved 5-mile trail along the edge of the campground; ATVer's can access the nearby Stony Spur Trail. Spacious wooded sites for RVs and tents offer available water, electric and sewer hookups, as well as shower and bathroom facilities, picnic tables, and fire rings. Seasonal specials let campers stay from early spring until late fall on large wooded lots. Located 3 miles east of Babbitt, groceries and firewood on site.
