In the Twin Cities Metro Region, White Bear Lake is located in Ramsey County. It lies on US 61 on the northeast edge of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, on the shore of the lake from which it takes its name. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 25,999, an increase of 1,377 since 1990.
