The Power Plant Restaurant and Brewery is located in historic downtown Parkville, Mo. The site was originally home to the Park College Power Plant, constructed in the early 1900's, and named after a city pioneer, Col. George S. Park.

It offers Midwestern dishes and four types of beers; namely walnut creek wheat, southbound nut brown, steamboat stout and colonel park's pale ale.

Lunch menu includes derailed red ale, south west chicken twists, fried ravioli espanola, catfish bites and smoked chicken quesadillas. Dinner menu includes pisa items like Mediterranean, ranch chicken, classico and meat lovers.

Heart of America Shakespeare Festival Kansas City MO June18-July7 The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival is set under the stars in South Moreland Park near Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. They have several programs to study and explore such as Speaker's Bureau and Poster and Sonnet Contest. The faculty includes theatre professionals, actors, and educators experienced in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Many of the instructors are veterans of festival productions.
