Built in 1843 by the father of Samuel Clemens, better known as the author Mark Twain, the restored house, decorated in period, is where Clemens lived between the ages of 7 and 18.

Noteworthy items are 16 Norman Rockwell oil paintings illustrating special editions of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."
