The first of Missouri's major man-made lakes, its 2,080 acres stretch river-like for 22 miles between Table Rock and Bull Shoals lakes. Cold water provides excellent fishing for rainbow and brown trout, and a fish hatchery which releases 800,000 trout annually. The lake is at the heart of a popular vacation area centering around Branson and the area offers abundant lodging, camping, marinas, dining, and musical attractions. There are two cruises offered on the lake, one even featuring a surprise pirate attack.
