Experience Southern hospitality and the charm of the rural life of yesteryear at this 39-acre complex; a short walk across a rustic bridge takes visitors to four exhibit areas that relate the technological and economic events that changed the state's history and cultural heritage.
Various museum buildings include the Heritage Exhibit Center, the National Agricultural Aviation Museum, the Fitzgerald Collection, a farmstead, Ethnic Heritage Center, a Forestry Auditorium, and others. Exhibits span three eras of transportation and tell the story of Mississippi's farmers and lumbermen with such items as presses, experimental cotton pickers, log wagons, steel-wheeled tractors and 19th-century cotton gins.
A variety of public programs and special events are hosted at the site throughout the year. Open daily.
